Gerardo Florez and a small Salt Lake crew. Three Utah trade licenses under one roof, so the yard, the patio, the sprinklers, and the stone work all answer to the same name. Seventeen years on the Wasatch Front. Hablamos español.

About GF-Landscaping
GF-Landscaping started in 2009 out of Salt Lake's west side. Gerardo Florez built it, and the crew has stayed small on purpose — a tight family operation that takes the whole job, not a slice of it.
What makes this crew different is the combination of trades. Most landscaping outfits on the Wasatch Front carry one license — landscape only. We carry three: Utah DOPL S330 for landscape and sprinklers, S260 for asphalt and concrete, and S230 for masonry and stone. That means a homeowner with a yard rebuild that includes a paver patio, a low retaining wall, a new driveway corner, and a fresh sprinkler loop doesn't need three contractors and three schedules. One crew. One name on the invoice. One person who answers when you call.
Seventeen years on the same kind of yards in the same valley. Sprinkler turn-ons in April. Concrete pours in June. Stone-set retaining walls through the dry stretch. Blowouts in October before the Wasatch winter rolls in. Gerardo still walks every job and still picks up the phone.
Landscape, concrete, masonry, sprinklers. Same crew. Same name on the truck. Seventeen years.

Three Utah trade licenses
Most landscaping outfits in Salt Lake carry one DOPL classification. We carry three under license #11325227-5501 — so the landscape, the concrete, and the masonry work on a single project don't get split between three separate contractors.
UT DOPL #11325227-5501
Landscape installation, planting, sod, mulch, hardscape, retaining walls, drainage, AND landscape irrigation sprinkler systems.
Install, repair, and maintain asphalt and concrete surfaces — driveways, flatwork, decorative concrete, slab patios.
Masonry, stucco, natural and synthetic stone, granite, rain gutters, drains, and roof flashings — the stone-set wall work most landscapers sub out.
When the job touches more than one trade, you don't end up coordinating three crews on three calendars. Same Florez family on every step.

Seventeen years of doing the same handful of things across the Wasatch Front, in the climate they have to live in.
Full yard rebuilds — demolition, grading, leveling, sod, mulch, planting. Built to hold up against a Wasatch summer and a Wasatch winter.
New systems sized for the lot and soil. Stuck valves, broken heads, low pressure, drip-line additions — same crew that installs them fixes them.
April pressurize and zone-walk in spring. October compressor blowout before the first hard freeze. Split lines in November cost real money in April.
Slab patios, walkways, slabs around the AC pad — clean pours, broom or stamped finish, and tied into the grade so water moves the right direction.
Concrete driveways and apron repairs under our S260 classification — full pour, expansion joints, and cut lines that won't crack the wrong way.
Set on a compacted base with proper edge restraint, so the pavers stay flat through ten Wasatch freeze-thaw cycles.
Stone-set or block walls under our S330 + S230 classifications — engineered base course, drainage rock, and a cap that finishes clean.
Natural and synthetic stone — pillars, veneer, garden walls, fire rings. The stone work most landscapers send out, we do in-house.
Wet basements, soggy side yards, downspout routing. We fix grade and add the perforated pipe so the water leaves the lot.
Where we work
Salt Lake City is home base. The Wasatch is to the east; we run from the city out across the south valley. Tight radius, fast response, same crew on every job.
The radius
What we don't drive to
We don't run trucks up to Park City, out to Tooele, or down past the Point. Salt Lake County keeps the response time tight and the same crew on the same yards.
How a job runs
Gerardo answers, or calls back the same day. Tell us the address and what you're seeing.
We come out, walk the property, and ask the questions that change the price — grade, drainage, access, access for concrete trucks.
Clear number, broken out by line item. If your job touches more than one trade, you see one quote, not three.
We pick a window with you. Concrete and stone work scheduled around the weather; sprinkler work fits the season.
We don't leave until you're standing in it and nodding. If something needs adjusting after, Gerardo comes back.
That’s it. No portals, no logins — a phone call or an email is all it takes.

Reviews — Salt Lake County
Gerardo and his crew did the whole front yard — demo, regrade, sprinkler loop with drip lines, sod, and a small concrete slab off the side. One crew, one schedule, one invoice. That's the part most companies can't do.
Sprinkler valve failed in mid-July. Gerardo came out, traced it, fixed it, and re-walked the rest of the system to make sure nothing else was off. Fair price, no upsell.
We had three landscapers come out for a paver patio with a low retaining wall. GF was the only one who didn't have to sub out the masonry. Same crew did both sides of the job.
Gerardo talks you through every step. Doesn't cut corners. Came back twice after the install to tweak a head and re-set a paver — no questions asked.
Concrete driveway pour and a full sprinkler turn-on, same week. They worked around the weather and got both done before the heat broke. Honest price.
Bilingüe, atento, y cumplido. Trabajaron en mi patio trasero y todo quedó perfecto. Gerardo siempre contesta el teléfono.
